Funeral Services for Robert "Jungle Bob" Childs will be held at the Cathedral of Faith, 2315 Canoas Garden Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 (nearest major intersection is Highway 87 and Curtner Ave-refer to attached map). Services will be at 2:00pm on Friday, September 10th.
The family has no particular or specific charity or medical foundation in mind for donations but has requested flowers be sent to the church. For those who wish to send a card or letter, please address it to the Childs Family, 80 Decker Way, San Jose, CA 95127.
After services at the Cathedral of Faith, there will be a reception at Dion Childs' residence (80 Decker Way, San Jose, CA 95127). Those who so desire can join the procession of cars from the church to Dion's house. Either Dion and/or his brother, Jason, will be driving Bob's white C5 convertible to lead the procession. Anyone who wants to bring food or drink is invited to do so although some refreshments will be provided.
NOTE: Following the gathering at Dion's home, SCC will be gathering at Bennigan's in Santa Clara to raise a glass to our beloved Jungle Bob. This special TGIF will begin at 6pm. |
