| Comments: | My son, who lives in the San Jose area, has an '86 Corvette. He is planning a move to the East coast, and may be ready to sell the Corvette. I have been doing some preliminary research for him to assist with the move.
I know very little about cars, but here is the information he has given me, so far:
it is an '86 Corvette, with 4 speed overdrive, a manual transmission, and has a Z-51 handling package.
He bought it new, in 1986 but it has spent most of it's life in California, following a brief time in Maryland.
It has been kept in a garage, but has been inoperable for several years - it needs some work which he has hoped to do himself, demands of his job and family have not permitted the time to do it.
Can you give me any advice to pass along to him, about whether it is sale-able, how to determine it's value, how to advertise it, etc.?
Your advice would be most appreciated.
